SOMETHING FROM LOVE
Výstava Dity Pepe Něco z lásky vychází z autorčiny disertační práce – knihy Hranice lásky, která zkoumá různé podoby a polohy lásky mimo tradiční romantický koncept. Pepe výstavou reflektuje inspirativní, často netradiční projevy vztahů – například oddanost Barona Haase k jeho psům, které si po jejich smrti nechával preparovat, či lásku Moniky a Nikol Chmelařových k realistickým panenkám Reborn. Obě série představují sbírku portrétů objektů lásky, v nichž se odráží fascinace, péče i touha uchovat si blízkost milovaných navzdory pomíjivosti.
Dita Pepe’s exhibition Something from Love draws on her dissertation project, the book Borders of Love, which explores diverse forms and expressions of love beyond the traditional romantic framework. The exhibition presents inspiring and often unconventional manifestations of relationships – for example, Baron Haas’s devotion to his dogs, preserved even after their death, or Monika and Nikola Chmelař’s attachment to lifelike Reborn dolls. Together, these series form a collection of portraits of love’s objects, capturing fascination, care, and the longing to preserve closeness with loved ones in the face of transience.
