Vladimír Kampf má Dunaj v sebe, odkedy prvý raz videl masu vodu valiacu sa Bratislavou. Odvtedy hľadá prameň rieky. Pracoval na nákladných a osobných lodiach. Neskôr, už ako novinár, začal cestovať s fotoaparátom, aby našiel nielen prameň v Čiernom lese. Za desiatky rokov putovania precestoval takmer tritisíc kilometrov dlhú rieku niekoľkokrát po vode i po brehoch.
Vladimír Kampf has been fascinated by the Danube ever since he first saw the vast body of water flowing through Bratislava. From that moment, he has been searching for the river’s source. He once worked on cargo and passenger ships and later, as a journalist, set out with his camera to trace not only the river’s beginnings in the Black Forest. Over decades of exploration, he has travelled the river’s 3,000-kilometre course many times, both on the water and along its banks.
