Táto výstava presahuje rámec obyčajnej retrospektívy a namiesto toho vedie divákov cestou transformácie a diverzifikácie amerických miest, ktoré v priebehu rokov navštívil. Od pokojnej večernej atmosféry cedule vedľa reštaurácie pri ceste cez chaotickú energiu newyorskej križovatky v špičke po nádheru bazéna na Floride… každá fotografia prispieva k ohromujúcej freske, ktorá odhaľuje dušu národa a jeho obyvateľov. Joel Meyerowitz pozoruje, rámuje, hravo upozorňuje na detaily a premieňa obyčajné na niečo výnimočné. Prechádza rovnými ulicami, kde svetlo tancuje na fasádach budov stúpajúcich k oblohe. A kde sa okoloidúci stávajú nechcenými komparzistami v tomto nádhernom filme zvanom Amerika.
