cityLOVE
„cityLOVE“ je série fotografií českých autorů Jany Jabůrkové a Jiřího Turka. Zpočátku každý sám, nyní společně zachycují mizející genius loci především
evropských měst. Snaží se zaznamenat život, zajímavá a mizející místa či okamžiky.
Jedná se o dlouhodobý projekt, který se neustále vyvíjí. Ať už díky digitálním technologiím, tak také kvůli společenským změnám. Fotografovat jen tak na ulici je stále složitější. Základem všech vystavených fotografií je atmosféra. Nejde o to, mít superostrou, popisnou fotografii, cílem je, aby divák cítil atmosféru daného místa. Aby měl ten jedinečný pocit, který fotografové zažili a které každé místo na světě vyzařuje. Oba fotografové věří, že jejich fotografie hovoří samy za sebe. Jednotně říkají, že je to obrazové sdělení, které nemusí mít dlouhý vysvětlovací popisek, aby divák pochopil… Zachycují děj, sled událostí v pohybu a běžné pouliční příběhy. Podoba konečné verze vyplyne z nálad a dojmů, které mají spojené s průběhem focení.
cityLOVE is a series of photographs by Czech authors Jana Jabůrková and Jiří Turk. Initially each of them alone, now together, they capture the disappearing genius loci of mainly European cities. They seek to record life, interesting and disappearing places or moments.
This long-term project is constantly evolving. Either thanks to digital technologies or due to social changes. Taking photos on the street is getting more and more difficult. The atmosphere forms the core of all exhibited photographs. It is not about having a super-sharp, descriptive photo; the aim is for the viewer to feel the atmosphere of the place. To have that unique feeling that the photographers experienced and that every place in the world emanates. Both photographers believe that their photos speak for themselves. They uniformly say that it is a visual message that does not need a long explanatory caption for the viewer to understand… They capture the action, the sequence of events in motion, as well as common street stories. The shape of the final version will result from the moods and impressions associated with the course of photographing.
