Rudolf Koppitz sa považuje nielen za jedného z najvýznamnejších rakúskych fotografov medzivojnového obdobia, ale aj za jedného z popredných osobností umeleckej fotografie v nemecky hovoriacom svete. Jeho tvorba pokrýva niekoľko desaťročí a vyznačuje sa pozoruhodnou rozmanitosťou štýlov a techník. Koppitz experimentoval s rozličnými fotografickými technikami a vytvoril osobitný vizuálny jazyk ovplyvnený estetikou piktorializmu.

Rudolf Koppitz is not only regarded as one of the most significant Austrian photographers of the interwar period but also as one of the leading figures in art photography within the German-speaking world. His body of work spans several decades and is distinguished by a remarkable diversity of styles and techniques.Koppitz experimented with various photographic techniques, developing a unique visual language influenced by the aesthetics of pictorialism.
