„Ľudstvo pootvorilo dvere do pekla,“ varoval generálny tajomník António Guterres vo svojom vášnivom prejave počas Generálneho zhromaždenia OSN v septembri 2023 v súvislosti s hrozivými dôsledkami čoraz extrémnejších prejavov počasia.
Je to apel na svet, ktorý je už dlho vpísaný do srdca nášho festivalu. Je našou povinnosťou zachovať poéziu tvorby pre naše deti. V základných otázkach urbanizácie, biodiverzity, prírodných zdrojov, znečistenia životného prostredia a globálneho otepľovania sa pokúsime poskytnúť prostredníctvom obrazov ak nie riešenia, tak aspoň podnety na zamyslenie. V rámci nášho 7. ročníka festivalu tak ukážeme diela veľkých majstrov environmentálnej fotografie.
V tejto súvislosti je cieľom festivalu zachovať záblesky ľudskosti prostredníctvom obrazov. Čaro každodenného života, ktoré fascinuje, vyzýva a vďaka ktorému sú naše životy jedinečné a hodné žitia. Slovami veľvyslankyne mieru Jane Goodallovej: „Máme možnosť využiť dar nášho života na to, aby sme zo sveta urobili lepšie miesto.“

“Humanity has opened the gates to hell”, warned Secretary General António Guterres in an impassioned speech on the margins of the UN General Assembly in September 2023 of the terrible consequences of increasingly extreme weather events.
An appeal to the world that has long been inscribed at the heart of our festival. It is our duty to preserve the poetry of creation for our children. On the fundamental issues of urbanisation, biodiversity, natural resources, environmental pollution, and global warming, we will try to use images to provide, if not solutions, then at least food for thought. Therefore, in our 7th festival year, we will be showing the work of the great masters of environmental photography.
With this in mind, the festival aims to preserve glimpses of humanity in its images. The magic of everyday life that fascinates, challenges, and makes our lives uniquely worth living. In the words of peace ambassador Jane Goodall: “We have the choice to use the gift of our lives to make the world a better place”.
