FOLLOW AFTER NATURE
V dobe, keď sa od prírody vzďaľujeme, nachádzam inšpiráciu v prepájaní sa s jej podobami. Fotografie, ktoré takto vznikajú, sú čiastočne odtrhnuté od umelecko-historického kontextu minulosti, akoby nadväzovali skôr na prírodu samotnú ako na tradíciu. Tvorím podľa vzoru prírody, tak ako maliari kedysi nasledovali veľkých majstrov.
Prírodné scény, do ktorých vstupujem, nie sú len pasívnym pozadím pre ústrednú postavu. Usmerňujú a ohýbajú moje telo, niekedy ho až pohlcujú. Všimla som si, že tak ako ja napodobňujem prírodu, aj ona hravo zrkadlí ľudské tvary, vytvára si svoje vlastné postavy a tváre, ktoré rada dokumentujem.
Aj keď sú moje fotografie inscenované a snové, zostávajú zakotvené v skutočných miestach a situáciách, ktoré môže zažiť každý. Toto rozhranie medzi predstavivosťou a autentickosťou, kde sa nepravdepodobné stáva hmatateľným a surreálne pramení z bežného, je mi blízke.
In this time of losing connection to nature, my photographs draw inspiration directly from its shapes and forms, suggesting that they are not in dialogue with the art historical canon but with nature itself. I follow after nature, in the way artists once followed after the great masters of art history.
The environments I enter are not merely frames for my figure; they guide and shape my body, at times absorbing it entirely. At other times, I witness nature whimsically mirroring human characteristics, shaping its own figures, which I document with delight.
Though staged and dreamlike, my photographs remain grounded in real physical spaces that anyone can experience. This balance between imagination and authenticity places my work within a genre where the improbable is made tangible, and the surreal emerges directly from the real.
