What are the current trends in the field of photobooks? How do you develop and create your own photobook? What should the book’s design look like? How can you arrange for your book to be printed and published? This one-day masterclass aims to introduce participants to current trends in photobook publishing and to guide them through the process of editing and developing their own book project. Through a combination of lectures and practical sessions, participants will explore how to find a story, develop a photographic project, select and edit images, and transform the project into the form of an author’s book. The masterclass will also introduce different options for self-publishing and small-scale printing, as well as possibilities for obtaining grants or working with a publishing house. Tomáš Pospěch draws on his extensive experience as a photographer, art historian, book publisher, and editor who has collaborated with a wide range of prominent photographers.
